The Mystery of the Kingdom Mark 4:26-
Mark 4:26-29, :And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come..”
Jesus, in these particular verses, is using the comparison of this seed being planted in the ground to help us understand how God works in our lives. Jesus often uses parables to help us understand spiritual truths in the Kingdom of God. When the seed is planted in the ground, there is a rugged process that begins. A hole is dug, the seed is inserted into the ground, and the seed is then covered with dirt. If anyone were to walk by, they would not even notice that there is something in the ground because the seed is hidden by the dirt from the natural eye. Only the farmer who planted the seed knows that there is something there. This may be the stage in your life where you find yourself being ignored, mistreated, and even trampled on by people on your job, in your family, and even in your church. It is simply because, unknown to them, God has His hands on your life. You are anointed, called of God and chosen. God has allowed you to be hidden because it is not your time yet. When you are heavily gifted and anointed, it hurts deeply when people treat you as if you are nothing. But these are the people that God has exposed for your own safety. It means you cannot trust these people. Anyone can be your friend when your breakthrough comes and God has worked everything out. But it takes real spiritual people in your life to see way past all of the dirt to recognize that God has his hands on you. Anyone who can respect you, honor you, and believe in you while you are hidden are people who are genuine friends.
The seed has much to endure. It goes through summer, winter and autumn, surviving storms and severe heat. All the while, it is being strengthened and is growing, absorbing the nutrients and moisture from the dirt that has it surrounded. The key is that it is still planted. If it were to be uprooted, all of the potential in the seed would be lost. Wherever God has placed you, stay right there, no matter what comes against you. If you move before your time, you could forfeit the plan that God has for your life. Dig your heels into the ground and tell the devil, “I’m not leaving the place God has called me to.” The enemy knows that, as long as you stay planted, God’s will and plan for your life will be fulfilled. As the seed is underground, something begins to happen. A plant begins to grow and head upward over a period of time. You may be down now, but you are certainly on your way up. You are in the Kingdom and whatever goes down must come up. Your season of being down is over and you are on your way up like the plant. As the growth continues, the dirt on the top of the plant begins to be pushed apart because the long-awaited time has come for the plant to burst out into the sunlight and enjoy its new life.
Everyone who frequented the area is surprised now because they see something in the dirt that they did not see before. You are about to push your way through the dirt and come out to the top because God has designed you to come out. That is why, all of a sudden, things that seemed impossible to move on your behalf in your life are moving. It is because it is your time of breakthrough. The plant pushes the dirt from of the top of it. Now you understand why certain people had to leave your life. It is the hand of a loving God, moving them because they are dirt and have been used by the enemy to help suppress you. This is your time; this is your season to come forth. Joseph was thrown in a pit by his brothers but, just like the plant, there came a time in his life where he was promoted to be the prime minister of Egypt. The Bible says this about Joseph in Psalms 105:19-21: “Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him. The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free. He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance…” Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were thrown into a fiery furnace because of their love for God but, in the end, they were promoted because the Lord showed up in the fire with them to protect them from the king’s evil command. The Bible says in Daniel 3:30, “Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, in the province of Babylon.” The season of spring finally comes and the plant breaks through and is seen by all who were clueless. This is your spring time. Come forth in the name of Jesus. This is the moment you waited, fasted and prayed for. My friend, if you are reading this newsletter, it is because you have passed the test and have transitioned into a new season.
