Simon Peter cried out to God to heal his son from asthma. Since the young age of
three, the boy received medical treatment for his condition. He received shots for
two years and took other medications to help with his symptoms. Nothing the doctors
did healed Simon's son. During service, he brought his son for Pastor Sean to pray
for him. God instantly healed the young man. The father took his son outside to
run. For the first time, the boy ran with no breathing problems. -
This particular woman, who was healed in Jesus’ ministry, had an issue of blood for twelve long years. The Scripture says, “…and [she] had suffered many things of many physicians…” The word suffered here means “to experience a sensation or impression (usually painful).” Her situation did not improve, even though she went to many physicians. This may be the same type of situation you are facing. Notice, though, the words of Jesus: “Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole…” Jesus clearly pointed out that this miracle of healing happened as a result of the faith of this woman. Let us look at the text more closely to see exactly what she did to get her miracle.
·She heard of Jesus (v.27).
She heard about all the miracles that took place in the ministry of Christ. She listened to testimonies of how the lepers were cleansed, the blind received their sight, the deaf heard, the cripples walked, and how even the dead were raised back to life again. Faith comes from hearing the Word. You need to position yourself like this woman; to hear of other healing miracles so your faith can be strengthened.
·She said, “If I may but touch His clothes, I shall be whole” (v.28).
She put her faith to work by speaking out her healing. The Bible makes it plain in Proverbs that life and death are in the power of the tongue. Begin to confess the word of God concerning your healing. Proverb 6:2 says, “Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.” Don’t allow any negative words to come out of your mouth concerning your healing. Only allow what God’s word says about your healing to be spoken over your situation. The reality is that you are sick, but the truth says, “…by His stripes I am healed.”
·She came in the crowd and touched His garment (v.27).
She ACTED. The last thing that needs to be done before your miracle takes place is to put action to your faith. Refuse to stay away from men and women of God who have a notable healing ministry. Get to their healing services as often as you can, because it was getting to where Jesus had a healing ministry that gave this woman access to touch the hem of His garment. The Bible says, “…immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.” The miracle happened where the atmosphere was charged with expectancy and faith. It is just awesome to get around other people that are believing God for a miracle. It is in this atmosphere that miracles happen.
